Preston Doege
Preston Doege has been a resident of Lost Creek since 1999, after moving from his hometown of Dallas Texas in 1997. He began his career of service to the West Bank area in 1998 becoming a firefighter for the Westlake Fire Department. Preston is also the Team Leader for the Travis County Hazardous Materials Team and served as President of the Westlake Professional Firefighters Association.
In 2006, Preston was elected to the Board of Directors for the Lost Creek M.U.D. Preston has a BA in Public Safety Management from St. Edwards University. During Preston’s tenure on the M.U.D. Board, he has served on the Parks Committee, the Fire Wise Committee, the Deed Restriction Committee, and the Legislative Committee.
His involvement with the various committees has been instrumental in accomplishing many neighborhood improvements including the addition of a new playscape and “wifi” internet access at the Boulevard Park, greenbelt wildfire prevention procedures, home fire safety awareness, and continued efforts to preserve Lost Creek residential property values through responsible deed restriction enforcement. Preston also played a key role in developing legislative strategies during the contentious annexation debate with the City of Austin.
Preston is an avid aviation enthusiast and instrument pilot, and spends most of his spare time flying and exploring new places. Preston also enjoys camping, sailing, and boating.
