Gary Sertich
Gary Sertich has lived in Lost Creek for almost 10 years, having been attracted to the neighborhood after a long but ultimately successful search for the "perfect house." Gary's wife Melissa, their dog, and 4 ferrets complete the active and lively household. One of Gary's hobbies, garden railroading, took shape in the lower part of the backyard, where a flat area became the perfect spot to run live steam locomotives. This, in addition to hot air ballooning, kayaking, camping, and a host of other activities, keeps the family quite active.
A native of Tucson, Arizona, Gary completed undergraduate and graduate school at the University of Arizona. While his science career took him to Pennsylvania, Georgia, and North Carolina, he ultimately decided to merge the disciplines of biology and law and become a patent attorney. This new direction brought him to Austin in 1993, reuniting him with the Southwestern climate and culture of his youth. Currently, Gary serves as a legal officer with the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, a position for which he commutes and telecommutes. Living in Lost Creek makes it all worthwhile.
